Allentown mole control

We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Allentown, Pennsylvania pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Allentown mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

Allentown mole pest control animal tip: How to Get Rid of Moles

The damage moles can cause a lawn or garden can be a real pain to fix, and the mounds are a tripping hazard in the meantime. There are a variety of methods to get rid of them, and, as with most pest related problems, some methods are more effective than others.

Barriers

Physical underground barriers like wire fences and rock walls can help protect flowerbeds and vegetable patches, but they can require maintenance and need to be deep to prevent mole's lower tunnels from coming through.

Repellents

There are both natural repellents, like castor oil, and chemical versions on the market. They can be bought in spray, liquid, or pellet form, and most of them don't work very well. The sheer amount of ground, literally, they need to cover makes them impractical and short term prevention at best. Ultrasonic devices tend to work better, but even then, without heavy saturation, the moles can just dig away and around the repellent.

Traps

Mole traps are widely available and can prove very effective if properly set. Both live traps and snap traps can be purchased in a variety of styles. For live trapping, carefully placed buckets can also be used, but commercial traps are perfectly acceptable for the job.

As for kill traps, spring traps tend to be the most effective, and enclosed versions make for easy cleanup. Regardless of the type of trap, they need to be carefully placed in the tunnels so that the moles enter and trigger them.

Traps in combination with barriers can do a great deal to remove moles. Traps especially offer immediate removal as long as they're placed well, but barriers can come in handy to keep more moles from returning.

Getting rid of moles isn't as easy as just setting the traps and waiting. Make sure you look for regularly used tunnels, or collapse tunnels to drive them toward the traps. Check the traps regularly and move them around if they don't trigger. Removing moles can take some trial and error, especially if they like the food supply. Using safe grub killers can also help deter them, but in the immediate crisis traps are the best way to get rid of the moles. You can then work on longer-term preventive methods to make sure that they don't come back. If you can get rid of them once, you can do it again, but it's better to make sure there isn't another time.
