Boston mole control

We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Boston, Massachusetts pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Boston mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

Boston mole pest control animal tip: What attracts moles to your yard?

Do you have moles in your yard? Well so do hundreds of thousands of other property owners. It is even more rampant if you stay in rural or suburban communities. However, what bothers most landowners is why moles have selected their lawns, especially for infestation.

Well, far more than choice or coincidence, there are other obvious reasons why the moles prefer your lawn to your neighbors'.

An abundant supply of food (insects)

Moles require their body weight in food to keep active each day. Although largely feeding on worms and insects, moles will also feed on grubs and other smaller animals. Worms and similar insects are abundant in fertile soils.

Well-tended lawns and good soil

If you have tended and cared well for your lawns, you might have inadvertently invited moles to your lawns/gardens. A well-attended garden often attracts smaller animals, fresher produce, good soil texture, and a better habitat for moles.

Comfortable habitats and tunnels

If you leave your well-tended lawns for too long, you might be inviting new tenants. Moles tend to migrate to places they feel more secure in searching for their food. If your garden is un-inspected for too long, moles can begin to build their colonies. Also, if there is an absence of natural deterrents like castor oil, they will find your lawns very comfortable.

Plenty of cover plants and tall trees

Moles love to dig and burrow and appreciate it if there are plenty of cover crops to mask their mounds or hole entrances. Moles are shy creatures and like to be always undercover.

In general, moles will always follow their food source; during winter when the earthworms go deeper, moles will dig deeper, longer tunnels. Also, a mole never hibernates, which can make them a constant menace to your lawn.

It is very impractical to try and control their food source to get rid of them. The best methods to get rid of moles are through;

  • Natural deterrents
  • Chemicals/pesticides
  • Mole traps
  • Flooding of tunnels
  • Vibration and noise devices
  • Physical means like blocking of all molehills
Moles are very destructive to crops and plants in the garden. In a short time, their burrows can make a mess of 6 months of garden work. Therefore, ensure to remove all trash, waste, or bins beside the house that attracts their favorite meal (worms).
