Canton mole control

We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Canton, Ohio pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Canton mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

Canton mole pest control animal tip: What kind of damage do moles cause to a lawn?

Though it's entirely possible you will never see a mole, you can easily see the damage that they have caused once they've claimed your lawn as their territory. They don't mean any harm, but that doesn't make the end results any less aggravating.

As mentioned, moles don't deliberately cause damage, and they don't eat your plants. Moles eat grubs and earthworms, not carrots and flower roots. That said, mole digging can damage plant roots as they tunnel about in search of food. Said damage can affect shrubs, vegetables, flowers, and grass. If plants do get eaten, it's likely voles that crawled in using the mole tunnels.

Speaking of, moles dig a lot, obviously, and all that burrowing creates tunnels. Along with tunnels close to the surface that can damage grass and plants, they also like to dig deeper tunnels for nesting. Besides letting in voles, these tunnels can upend walkways, uproot plants, mess with drainage, and create uneven terrain that poses a tripping hazard.

The same can be said for the molehills themselves, and in fact they're dangerous for other reasons. Having a bunch of piles of dirt around the lawn is not only a tripping hazard, but it's a danger for any equipment you might want to use, like the lawnmower. Having to tap down the piles of dirt and level off the surface tunnels are annoying, and they're only effective once the mole is gone. Otherwise, they'll just keep on digging new tunnels and creating new hills with the displaced dirt.

All that dirt moved to the surface means weaker soil for the lawn itself, and the molehills can dry out grass and attract critters, too. Though the extent of the damage a mole can do depends on the lawn itself, the sheer scale one mole can cause might surprise some people.

When you see molehills across your property, it's likely a single mole doing the damage. The little burrowers are rather territorial, and thus your lawn faces a burrowing menace of one. On the bright side, this makes dealing with them a lot easier. On the downside, it can be rather astounding how much damage a single little mole can cause to your lawn. The worst part is the damage you see is just the tip of the iceberg. Moles can dig deep, and that means the damage caused by tunnels, and as a result of your property, can dig deep, too.
