Glendale mole control

We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Glendale, California pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Glendale mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

Every wildlife situation is different: How many moles? Size of lawn? Do you need trapping, prevention, repairs? Call us and we can give pricing for your specific situation.

Glendale mole pest control animal tip: How to Kill a Mole

You probably did not wake up this morning thinking up ways to kill a mole. Killing an animal can be a fairly unpleasant business, but if a mole is constantly digging up your garden and causing damage, then you might have no other option.

We do recommend trying live trapping before you move on to something lethal, though.

Mole Poisons

There are various types of mole poisons that can be quite efficient, in that they kill the mole within 24 hours. However, you want to make sure you leave the poison in an active tunnel (or else it's wasted). A good way to test that is to first collapse the tunnel, either with your foot or with a shovel, then check if it's been re-dug the next day (which would signal that it's an actively used tunnel).

Mole poisoned bait usually comes in the form of a gummy worm (since moles generally eat worms), which the mole will ingest, and subsequently die.

Mole Traps

You can alternatively opt for a spring-activated mole trap if the poison doesn't really appeal to you. Mole traps are quite similar to those used for rodents inside the home, in that they involve a platform and are movement activated. When the mole steps on it, the spring triggers and quickly kills the mole.

As with the poison, however, it's important that you first identify an active mole tunnel to place your trap there (since that's most efficient). Once you've identified the right tunnel, dig into it and place your trap along the path, ideally digging the platform into the ground of the tunnel a little bit, to make it feel a little more natural. Check on the trap regularly, then dispose of the dead mole, once captured.

It's recommended that you cover the set trap with a turned bucket, to safeguard children and pets from stepping on it.

Both traps and poisonous bait are extremely efficient ways to get rid of a mole and might be ideal if you can't seem to solve the problem any other way.

Call a professional

If for whatever reason, you don't want to do the actual trapping and poisoning yourself, you might opt for calling a professional mole removal expert. You might even look for one who specializes in live trapping and can remove the mole without actually harming it. Calling a professional is preferable for many who do not want to have to handle the dead mammal afterward.
