Lakewood mole control

We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Lakewood, Colorado pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Lakewood mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:

  • Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
  • Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
  • Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
  • Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
  • When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing

What Prices Do We Charge?

Lakewood mole pest control animal tip: How to get rid of moles in yard with juicy fruit gum

Moles cause a lot of trouble once they've settled into your property. People will try a lot of different methods to repel, trap, and defend against moles and the damage they cause. Considering how much dirt they dig up and what all that tunneling can do to grass and other plants, it's no surprise how creative people have gotten in their efforts to remove a mole menace when it appears.

Some of the methods people come up with to rid their property of moles are more effective than others. Castor oil, for example, has a limited effect because of the range of territory and the fact moles are outside, where wind and distance reduce the effectiveness of preventive measures.

One odd method, though, might just do the trick. It not only helps rid you of moles, but it also does so by killing them. This method is the use of Juicy Fruit gum as poison bait. Apparently, the gum works just like regular poison bait, except it costs less and doesn't leave poison all over your yard.

Some might question how gum can kill a mole, and such questions are best left alone in the wake of the method's supposed effectiveness. To utilize the gum as bait, first, you need to buy the gum since it's not a brand you're likely to have at hand. Then, simply cut the strips of gum into one-half inch pieces. The pieces can then be placed along mole tunnels like you would do with regular bait. Make sure not to disturb the tunnels too much as you put the bait down.

While some tout the result of gum-based bait, it still has the problem as regular bait. Namely, it's hard to tell when the mole is dead, and if it does work there's now a dead mole somewhere in your yard. On the bright side, it's already buried for you. All the extra gum lying around might be a problem, but the collapsing mole tunnels should fix that, and it's safer than actual poison being left over.

Of all the methods to get rid of moles, the use of Juicy Fruit gum is quite possibly the weirdest one. Many state it works, though, so if you find yourself with a mole problem, before you shell out for poison and traps, consider saving some money by using gum first. If it works, you saved money and still got rid of your mole problem.
