We are experts in mole control and are not your typical Washington, DC pest control or exterminator company. First, we do not use poisons or the majority of repellents, since they do not work. Moles are difficult to remove and can only really be completely removed from your yard with mole traps, a process we have practiced and perfected over the years. In addition, if a mother mole has babies, we will make sure to remove her pups by hand before dealing with the mother mole. We are not a typical Washington mole exterminator company. We completely solve your mole problem by taking these steps:
- Inspect the entire property grounds - lawn, yard, garden, etc.
- Set several pro traps in mole tunnels - the correct and safe way!
- Remove all moles as they are caught and monitor for activity
- Once there is no more activity and no more moles caught, we're done
- When needed, fill in tunnels and seal with underground fencing
What Prices Do We Charge?
Every wildlife situation is different: How many moles? Size of lawn? Do you need trapping, prevention, repairs? Call us and we can give pricing for your specific situation.
Washington mole pest control animal tip: Types of mole traps
Moles are small pests that look innocent until they start clawing and burrowing their way around your lawns and gardens. They lay waste to crops, plants, and the soil on your property.
However, there are many ways you can get rid of this menace, and one of such is to use a mole trap.
The use of poisons and pesticides are not as efficient as mole traps, and they also cause problems to the soil. These demerits make mole traps one of the most efficient methods of dealing with moles.
There are different examples of mole traps, and some of them include;
These traps are set on top of an active tunnel, with the trigger pan against the dirt. If a mole passes through the tunnel, it causes the trigger pan to shoot up, causing the spears to slam down into the mole. It is easy and straightforward to set up. Examples are;
Victor Plunger style
This trap can be used on every soil type, plus they come already assembled and are made with strong metal. However, you require some strength to set it up.
Black box trap
Once you place this in a mole burrow, and the mole runs into the box, it gets clamped to death.
Unlike the spear traps, the body clamps are placed inside the tunnels underground. Anytime a mole passes through and hits the pin, the pin will slip and allow the clamp teeth to slam the mole. The pins are super sensitive and sharp and will give way to the slightest touch. Some examples are;
Cinch mole trap
It comes at a great price, and they are generally efficient and have extended safety features. It also has wide jaws that help to kill moles faster.
Nash Choker loop
These traps have a familiar design but are harder to set up. However, they are still as effective as any other traps.
This is the easiest mole trap you will get, and it operates like a pair of scissors. It is placed inside the tunnel; when a mole passes through, the blade snaps and cuts through the mole.
Wiretek scissor trap
All the materials used for this trap are made from galvanized steel. It also uses strings instead of pins, and the springs are super sensitive
Aspectek scissor trap
This trap uses steel rods, doesn't require baiting, and are used underground (safe for pets). it is a mole killing machine
Humane mole traps
For most people who abhor killing or brutalizing moles, this trap can help you trap and relocate the moles.
Place this trap inside their tunnels. Once a mole steps inside, it becomes trapped. You can then retrieve the trap and relocate the mole.
